Well if I was in Elie position I would be terrified and scared because watching all these crazy man go after each other over a piece of bread is terrifying. I would have at least tried to get some bread because if all the man are killing each other then it will make it easier to get some bread. But I would also look after my father because he did that for me in the beginning and he needs my help now. But also I would have taken cover for nothing will happen to me and continue on protecting my father in every way possible.
